Sobre literatura ectópica y traducción: concepto y aplicaciones

Abstract

Ectopic literature has been proved to be an enormously useful tool when it comes to analyse literature written by authors which write out of their place of origin and also to translate these texts. In this essay we will deal with ectopic literature from the point of view of Translation and in close relation to other notions like intercultural literature, deterritorialized literature and literature of exile. The possibilities of analysing ectopic literature in translation from the point of view of Rhetorics are also dealt with. Furthermore, ectopic literature relates to translated literature within the frame of the Polysystems Theory, since both of them take into account texts in movement between two or more systems.
