Call for manuscripts: Special issue on “Challenges of Nordic hospital sectors".

The hospital sector is constantly under challenge in the Nordic countries, both in terms of organization, financing and operations. The Nordic Journal of Health Economics is currently preparing a special issue on challenges in general practice in the Nordic countries, and the editors plan a follow-up with a special issue on challenges of the hospital sector in these countries.

Under the theme “Challenges of the Nordic hospital sectors” NJHE therefore calls for manuscripts that analyse various challenges of hospital sectors in the Nordic countries today. The challenges, broadly defined, may illuminate challenges related to, for example, organization, financing, recruitment of manpower, management, patient composition, incentive systems, collaboration with other health sectors, use of new technology and quality assurance.

Authors are welcome to submit a manuscript up to and including December 31, 2022. Please note that the manuscript should contain a maximum of 5000 words (NJHE also offers the opportunity to publish supplementary materials online).

In order to coordinate the process, potential authors are kindly asked to inform the managing editor beforehand.
