Resonancias del “Ni una menos” en la narrativa argentina reciente: entre testimonio y ficción

The links between testimony and fiction is one of the most persistent problems of literary criticism interested in the forms that the construction of social memory assumes in writing. This paper addresses this problem based on a corpus that has emerged in the last decade in the Argentine context: narratives about femicides and other forms of gender-based violence. We will focus, in particular, on a series of texts that combine testimony and fiction in different ways: Chicas muertas by Selva Almada (2014), Código Rosa: relatos sobre abortos by Dahiana Belfiori (2015), Por qué volvías cada verano by Belén López Peiró (2018), Cuaderno de V by Virginia Ducler (2019) and Las malas by Camila Sosa Villada (2019). We will be interested in analyzing the meanings and functions adopted by the hybridization between testimony and fiction in these narratives. We will see, in this vein, that fictionalization allows us to broaden and complexify the point of view of the story, and, thus, tends to push the limits of the testimony beyond the narrative frameworks derived from its basic enunciative formula, I was there. In this way, the narration of violence, while relying on the personal experience of those who have suffered it, underlines, at the same time, its ineludible social dimension.
