Between December 1 and 3, 2022, the 5th Congress “Another damn congress on memory?” was held, this time in Buenos Aires, at the UBA, thanks to an agreement between this study center and the University of Stockholm. It was the first time that the network had its congress in a South American country after more than two years of forced relative silence – the reasons are more than known to all. The International Research and Learning Network Memory and Narration has managed with the publication of this issue to deepen the transatlantic axis, taking into account that what brings Europe and the Latin American past together have a special connection in their visions, approaches and discussions on a topic that continues to be of central importance to all Spanish-speaking countries that, in one way or another, have suffered and continue to suffer the consequences of a violent past.
