Bruk av omvendt undervisning i naturfag på ungdomstrinnet

Denne studien undersøker hvordan omvendt undervisning med Just-in-Time Teaching og Peer Instruction kan implementeres i naturfagundervisning på ungdomsskolen. Studien ble gjennomført over fire uker i to 8. klasser (N = 60) med en lærer. Innsamlet data består av elevgjennomføring av forarbeid, elevers svar på Peer Instruction-spørsmål i undervisningen, og lærerintervjuer før, under og etter intervensjonen. Resultatene indikerer at omvendt undervisning fungerer sammenliknbart på ungdomstrinnet som i høyere utdanning. Forarbeidet gjorde elevene bedre forberedt for og aktive i undervisningen, og de likte spesielt godt den øyeblikkelige tilbakemeldingen på Peer Instruction-spørsmålene. Læreren opplevde økt glede i forbindelse med forberedelse og gjennomføring av undervisningen, uten at hun brukte nevneverdig mer tid på forberedelser.
