This contribution is a supplement to the author's publication of the frescoes of John VII (A.D. 705-707) in the church of S. Maria Antiqua in Tome (1968). For reasons of economy, the inscriptions were included in the book only as tracings. The photographs of the material are here finally published, showing the inscriptions as they appeared sixty years ago, at a time when they were relatively untouched by air pollutionDownloads
