Kun de færreste udstillinger får så langstrakt et forløb og gennemgribende en behandling og opmærksomhed, som tilfældet er med “Svåra Saker – Ting og berättelser som upprör og berör”, et udstillingsprojekt initieret af Riksutställningers og Samdok, de kulturhistoriske museers organisation for udforskning af samtidens Sverige. Med det tempo der efterhånden er sat for såvel museers som andre kulturinstitutioners udbud af begivenheder, synes ’oplevelsesøkonomien’ i disse år at nå et højdepunkt, hvor nye ideer, planer, ansøgninger, samarbejdspartnere etc. er på banen, inden der gives mulighed for at evaluere en aktuel eller nyligt overstået udstilling, reflektere dens indhold og videregive disse overvejelser i efterfølgende publikationer, så de også kommer of- fentligheden til gode. Udgivelsen af “Svåra Saker – Ting og berättelser som upprör og berör”, baseret på en vandreudstilling i 1999/2000 af samme navn, signalerer en bevægelse imod den tendens.
