Religiøse minoriteter, trosopplæring og skole

Kjære lesere,
Dette nummeret av Prismet er et temanummer, og dere finner utfyllende informasjon om nummeret og de ulike artiklene i innledningen, men jeg kan røpe så mye som at dere har masse spennende lesning i vente. Gjesteredaktør er professor Anders Aschim, leder av det NFR-finansierte forskningsprosjektet FAITHED – Non-formal faith education, the public school, and religious minorities in Norway (Ikke-formell trosopplæring, offentlig skole og religiøse minoriteter i Norge). Hele nummeret er viet dette prosjektet, og en rekke involverte forskere fra flere institusjoner har bidratt.
Før sommeren hadde Prismet (1-2/23) en egen temaseksjon om jødedom i religionsundervisningen. Med dette nummeret har vi flyttet fokus fra en av Norges minste religiøse minoriteter til Norges to største: islam og katolisismen. Vi beveger oss også delvis ut av skolens klasserom og over i den ikke-formelle sfæren, til moskeenes islamskoler og katolsk katekese (konfirmantundervisning). Dette er en sfære jeg vil tro få av oss kjenner godt med mindre vi selv er del av den. Prosjektet tar med andre ord opp svært relevante og hittil underbelyste tema, og nummeret har etter min oppfatning blitt solid og enhetlig.
Som hovedredaktør er jeg stolt av og glad for at Anders Aschim og resten av hans forskergruppe har valgt å publisere prosjektets aller første forskningsfunn i akkurat Prismet. Nummeret inneholder to oversiktsartikler og fire fagfellevurderte forskningsartikler. Hva de dreier seg om, og FAITHED-prosjektet mer generelt, kan du lese om i innledningen på de neste sidene.
