Abstract

Encounters with the art of the religions in classrooms and in sacred rooms have the potential to extend students’ and pupils’ rooms of learning, as these encounters can contribute to complex experiences. The article explores various perspectives on the encounters and different ways to understand the rooms of learning. I discuss concepts and theories that can be used in education: theories about space, about normality constructs, and about the interpretation and impact of art.
