Ettertanker om tilgivelse

Tilgivelsen er nevnt i Opplæringslovens formålsparagraf som en av de grunnleggende verdiene i kristen og humanistisk tradisjon. Dette er en av grunnene til at temaet er viktig i pedagogikken. I tillegg er tilgivelse et sentralt tema i flere religiøse tradisjoner, ikke minst i den jødiske og kristne, og dermed bør den tas dypt alvorlig i religionspedagogikk, trosopplæring og katekese. Tilgivelsen er viktig, men den er vanskelig. Den kan frigjøre, men den kan også bli forbundet med tvang og press, ikke minst har man sett eksempler på dette i religiøse miljøer. I denne artikkelen vil jeg ta for meg noe av forskningen om tilgivelse, og jeg vil argumentere for at den bør være et sentralt tema både i kirke og skole. Men kanskje på en noe mer nyansert måte enn før?
