Abstract

In this article I discuss some aspects of taking the perspective of others as a core element and competence aim in the new Norwegian syllabuses of religious education. I discuss this in the light of perspectives from research on religion and religious education. The article suggests ways of combining outsiders’ and insiders’ perspectives and discusses affordances and constraints in working with insider sources.
