This article describes implementation of Dialectical Behaviour

Therapy [DBT] in Correctional Service of Canada [CSC]’s institutions

for women. A brief overview of the targeted population, outcomes

of research studies pertaining to the effectiveness of DBT within

the CSC context as well as a description of its current model will

be presented. Prominent dialectics and challenges encountered in

implementing DBT within this correctional setting will be discussed.
