Special Issue: Acta Didactica Norden, spring 2025: Sustainability in Teacher Education
The concept of sustainability in the context of United Nations, is associated with sustainable development that aims to protect and nurture life on Earth, today and in the future. Education is part of the sustainable development agenda, as an aim in itself and as a means to achieve other aims.
The purpose of this special issue is to collect and make visible research on current processes that establish sustainability as an issue and perspective in teacher education, in the Nordic region and beyond. We would like to contribute to the research field of sustainability education in ways that open up for the development of knowledge and the sharing of this knowledge between the Nordic countries and, hopefully, beyond our borders as well.
